It was the color of this jacket that initially caught my eye! This vanilla ash clay tone reminds me of the finest porcelain tablewares displayed at one of those windowed shelves of a luxury department store. A right choice of the color is half way to success!
The other half is constituted by a collective excellence of cutting, selection of fabrics, features and use of accessories:
Boxy cutting could be relatively boyish but if it is in a cropped length as demonstrated on this jacket, it uncovers the hidden waistline as a subtle touch of femininity, which blends perfectly into the boxy cut!
I have been wearing this coat since last Thursday when the temperature dropped to below 18C, and am reluctant to switch to another outerwear, for a simple reason that it is so warm and soft to wear, not just to resist cold but also wind! I also like the exquisitely woven pattern of the wool fabric, it is sophisticated and of a high quality.
The feature I love most is the snap buttons, as they are of shinny silver metal in their mega size! can’t take my eyes off the mirror to watch them flashing on me as I move! The feminine detail in mimicking the bra straps wearing outside is another highlight, as it is a feature carrying a message to the world - to reflect one’s confidence from inside out! But what made this coat so special to me is its absence of binding, which I appreciated much as this carefree style is seldom seen on F/W outerwear. Indeed, who said winter coats can’t be without binding? :) Thanks again, Charlotte, for the breakthrough! and for creating this very beautiful wool jacket for us in this winter!
